When will we know who won the presidential election?
We likely won’t know who won the presidential election tonight — election workers have never completed ballot counting on Election Day.
Between the expected tightness of the race and the time it will take to count all the ballots, it could be several days before a winner is called.
It took four days for a winner to be declared in the 2020 election, and it could take a while for this race to be called, too. Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are virtually tied in the polls.
