WINONA, Minn. – The Winona State University Warriors head back on the road for their final weekend road trip of the season to face St. Cloud State and University of Minnesota Duluth.
The Warriors finished their home games for the season against UMary and Minot State where they battled in two tough games falling 1-0 in both games. WSU are looking for redeption on the road this weekend when they face the Huskies from St. Cloud State and the Bulldogs from Minnesota Duluth.
Winona State Notes:
- The Warriors celebrated their three seniors after the Minot State game, Abigail Williams, Alyson Jumper, and Callie Menzel.
- WSU is 5-7-1 overall and 4-7 in the NSIC.
- Three Warriors have collected two goals a piece this season, Kyleigh Jannisch, Catheryn Hudak, and Williams.
- Jacey Sturek has earned five assists so far this season landing her sixth in the NSIC in assists.
- Hudak is ninth in the NSIC for game winning goals with two game winning goals this season.
- Jumper collected 10 saves in the UMary and Minot games with 54 total saves so far this season.
St. Cloud State Notes:
- The Huskies are 10-2-4 overall and 7-1-4 in the NSIC.
- Ellie Primerano leads the Huskies with six goals on the season.
- Both Primerano and Krysten Schuster lead the team in assists with three assists a piece.
- Meriel Orham has 48 saves on the season.
- Orham has a .63 goals allowed percentage and .828 save percentage.
Minnesota Duluth Notes:
- The Bulldogs are 2-10-3 overall and 2-7-3 in the NSIC.
- Anna Tobias leads the team with four goals this season.
- Morgan Eckerle leads the team with assists with five assists on the season.
- Kaycee Chavez leads the Bulldogs in goal with 81 saves.
- Chavez has 2.08 goals allowed percentage and .750 save percentage.
