
US visa applicants, here’s an important update coming this August. The United States has discontinued third party passport collection service starting August 1, 2025. According to the updated guidelines on USTraveDocs website, applicants will now have only two options to pickup their passport/visa– they can either collect their passport in person or opt for a home delivery at a fee of Rs 1,200. The third option to choose a third-party representative to carry out the passport pick up has been discontinued. The movie, a notice on the website reads, is aimed to ensure the safety and security of applicants’ passports/documents. Applicants must collect their passports/documents in person. Please note: Passports for applicants under the age of 18 must be collected by a parent or guardian who must present an original consent letter signed by both parents. Scanned or emailed copies of the consent letter will not be accepted. Applicants may also choose to have their passports delivered to their home or office for a nominal fee of 1200 per applicant, at their discretion.
Documents Required for Passport/Visa Pickup
As per the guildelines, to collect passport/visa from Embassy/Consulate, VFS/Blue Dart collection locations, one must carry following Supporting Documents (as applicable). The applicants are required to present ORIGINAL valid Indian government-issued photo ID with address to the security personnel at the entrance and then proceed with the following documents.
