How to Watch Team USA Men’s Basketball in Paris Olympics 2024

The United States men’s basketball team will look to return to very familiar territory this summer when it takes the court at the Summer Olympics in Paris.

The team is seeking to defend its gold medal it won at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. In fact, the men’s squad has won 16 gold medals, the most of any country in history. The U.S. has been so dominant that it hasn’t gone home from the Olympics without a gold medal since 2004, when Argentina upset the team in the semifinal round.

Who is on the men’s basketball roster for the 2024 Summer Olympics?

This squad is a true “who’s who“ of basketball stars. Here’s a look at the roster, along with the NBA team each plays for.

Who is coaching Team USA?

Steve Kerr, who has won four NBA titles with the Golden State Warriors, will coach the team. He’ll be assisted by Gonzaga University head coach Mark Few, Tyronn Lue and Erik Spoelstra. Lue, currently the head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers, was head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers when the team, led by James, won the NBA title in 2016. Miami Heat head coach Spoelstra also won a pair of NBA titles with James.

When does the team play?

Here’s a look at the team’s Olympic schedule:

• Sunday, July 28 — Serbia, 11:15 a.m. ET
• Wednesday, July 31 — South Sudan, 3 p.m. ET
• Saturday, Aug. 3 — Puerto Rico, 11:15 a.m. ET

Quarterfinal games will be played Aug. 6, while the semifinals will be held Aug. 8. The bronze and gold medal games will be held Aug. 10.

How can people watch the U.S. team’s games?

The July 28 game against Serbia will air live on NBC at 11:15 a.m. ET, with a 5 p.m. rebroadcast on USA Network.

You can catch the July 31 tilt against South Sudan live on USA Network at 3 p.m., with a rebroadcast airing on the channel at 1 a.m.

The Aug. 3 matchup against Puerto Rico will be broadcast live on NBC at 11:15 a.m. The game will be rebroadcast at 6 p.m. on USA Network.
