The Cowboys have dominated the Giants as of late, winning 13 of the last 14 matchups between the two teams. Will that trend continue on Thursday night in New York? Our Newsweek Sports staff has their predictions.
Matt Levine: The Giants and Cowboys rivalry is always fun to watch, but lately, Dallas has completely dominated the series. In their two matchups last year, the Cowboys outscored the Giants a whopping 89-17. While the Giants have been a little more competitive over the last two weeks this year, Dallas should be able to bounce back to get a big divisional win and even their record at 2-2.
Prediction: Cowboys 32, Giants 17
James Brizuela: The Cowboys are starting to figure out their identity, and nearly took home a big comeback win against the Ravens on Sunday. Their 1-2 record is certainly not indicative of the skill they have on both sides of the ball. With the Giants having a weak secondary and Adoree Jackson and Dru Phillips being out, expect big plays from Prescott and company.
Prediction: Cowboys 28, Giants 17
Jeremy Hanna: The Giants and the Cowboys are desperately in need of a win. Both teams have a single victory against the Cleveland Browns, but only one team has proven to be consistently effective at offense, and it’s not New York.
Prediction: Cowboys 31, Giants 14
John Robinson IV: The Cowboys will get their second win of the season on Thursday Night Football against the NFC East rival Giants. Dallas should have their best game defensively so far, and quarterback Dak Prescott will have one of his best games of the season which will lead the Cowboys to a big victory over New York.
Prediction: Cowboys 24, Giants 17
Valentina Martinez: The matchup is a huge NFC East showdown since both teams sit at 1-2. It’ll be a dog fight, but the Cowboys will get a much-needed win in a high-scoring affair.
Prediction: Cowboys 34, Giants 30
Noah Camras: The Giants offense has come alive over the last two weeks, scoring three touchdowns in both games. The New York offense will continue to find the end zone, but they’ll have trouble stopping Dallas. This game will be high-scoring, but it will be big games from Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb that lead Dallas to a huge divisional win.
Prediction: Cowboys 31, Giants, 21
Cowboys vs. Giants kicks off at 5:15 p.m. PT/8:15 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video.
