(Gray News) – Professional wrestler Sid Eudy, commonly known as Sid Vicious and Sycho Sid while wrestling for WWE and WCW in the 1990s, has died at the age of 63.
Sid’s son Gunnar Eudy announced his father’s death on Facebook Monday afternoon after a yearslong cancer battle.
“He was a man of strength, kindness and love, and his presence will be greatly missed,” Gunnar said.
WWE also paid tribute to the wrestler on its website, saying “his influence can still be seen in wrestling rings around the world.”
Eudy would win the WWE championship two times while in the promotion, once in 1996 and the other in 1997.
He would wrestle occasionally in the late 2000s and worked his last WWE match in 2012.
