“We are in what is the Jio World Center, which is new, which is built by my wife. So, if I don’t say it’s built by my wife, I was instructed to say that,” Ambani said during his conversation with Huang.
Replying to this, Huang said: “I’m at her house. Her house is bigger than your house. And I thought your house was pretty big. Just so you know, from Mukesh’s house, I could see my house in California.”
What is the Jio World Centre
The Jio World Centre is a sprawling 18.5-acre complex in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex, serving as a hub for business, entertainment, culture, and retail.
Envisioned by the Ambani family to provide world-class infrastructure in India, the centre houses various facilities, including the Dhirubhai Ambani Square, the Jio World Convention Centre, Jio World Drive and the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre.
Developed in phases, the Jio World Centre was partially inaugurated in 2021, with further expansion planned in the coming days.
Reliance’s deal with Nvidia
Nvidia has partnered with Reliance Industries to develop a powerful AI computing infrastructure and innovation centre in India. Under this collaboration, Nvidia’s latest Blackwell AI chips will be used in a new data centre built by Reliance Industries.
During his chat, Huang praised Ambani’s contribution to India’s tech space and said: “No one has contributed more, Mukesh, to help India become a high-tech and a deep-tech India. Now you’re at the beginning of that journey. You have great aspirations. I know you have deep aspirations to help India become a deep tech industry. And what gives you that conviction? And why is artificial intelligence that moment for India?”
