After the U.S. men’s Olympic soccer team got things going Wednesday, it’s the women’s turn as the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) make their debut in the 2024 Paris Olympics on Thursday afternoon.
The USWNT is aiming for their first goal medal at the Summer Games in 12 years where they won a third consecutive gold medal at the London Olympics in 2012.
Their first match will be against fellow Group B competitor Zambia.

With kickoff rapidly approaching, here’s how to watch, stream and more for the U.S. women’s soccer opening matchup in the 2024 Paris Olympics against Zambia on Thursday:
The USWNT debut in the Summer Games against Zambia gets underway this afternoon at 3 p.m. ET on USA Network.

Unlike the roster restriction on the men’s side, there’s no such rules for the USWNT, who have already won the Concacaf Womens Gold Cup and the SheBelieves Cup in 2024.
The U.S. National team has eight wins, a loss and three draws in 12 matches this year and have an overall record of 27-4-7 in the Olympics, most by an country in the history of women’s soccer at the Olympics.
NJ/NY Gotham FC has the most representatives on this Olympic roster, with six players making the roster to play in France.
