It is once again time to take a close look at Karlie Kloss’s relationship with Taylor Swift. Once a prominent member of Swift’s beloved squad, Kloss has not been seen hanging out with the singer in years, fueling rumors that the duo had a falling out. The evidence is thin, sure — Kloss has been known to hang out with Swift’s nemesis Scooter Braun, and Swift didn’t show up to Kloss’s wedding — but Swift does tend to go out of her way to publicize her friendships, so the fact that she has not hit up a trattoria with Kloss in the past year or two is notable. Last year, while everyone from Phoebe Bridgers to Channing Tatum scored a spot in the Eras Tour VIP tent, Kloss was forced (or chose?) to watch “Bad Blood,” a song whose music video she appeared in, from gen pop. But whatever is happening between these two isn’t becoming public anytime soon — when asked about Swift in a recent interview, Kloss teed up a perfectly placid sound bite.
In a Q&A with Yahoo Life about a new wellness campaign, Kloss was asked about her favorite track from Swift’s latest (and widely hated-on) album, The Tortured Poets Department. “I’d say the whole album,” Kloss responded faithfully. “I mean, her music is classic.” When asked about her favorite Swift song overall, she elaborated, “She’s got so many hits. I definitely love ‘Shake It Off.’”
Definitely. If you need Karlie for anything, she will be at home, enjoying all 122 minutes of The Tortured Poets Department’s extended version and studiously readying herself to belt out the lyrics to the “Female Rage” section of the Eras Tour. Hear that, Taylor?
