Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren spoke Thursday on the final night of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, an evening focused on the future as Kamala Harris formally accepts her party’s nomination for president.

As she walked out, Warren was greeted by a lengthy standing ovation before comparing Harris to her opponent, former President Donald Trump and his running mate.
“Groceries, gas, housing, health care, taxes, abortion. Trust Donald Trump and JD Vance to look out for your family? Shoot, … I wouldn’t trust them to move my couch,” she said.
Harris’ speech is her first official chance to offer her vision for the country to voters. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz formally accepted the vice presidential nomination the day before.
