Two giants of sugary industry — Krispy Kreme and Dr Pepper — are teaming up.
The Krispy Kreme x Dr Pepper Kickoff Collection is a trio of doughnuts the brands are collaborating on ahead of football season.
Starting Aug. 23, customers can get the collection for a limited time at Krispy Kreme shops across the U.S. It features an all-new doughnut that “delivers the refreshing experience of the iconic 23 original flavors of Dr Pepper,” per a press release, as well as a returning seasonal favorite.
“Two of America’s most loved flavors are about to become one amazing gameday sensation to make this the sweetest kickoff to football season ever,” said Dave Skena, global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme, in a press release. “This Dr Pepper collection is a must-add to your gameday lineup, whoever you’re cheering for.”
Plus, the brand is offering $0 delivery Aug. 23 until Aug. 25 on all orders via Krispy Kreme’s app and website.
The Krispy Kreme x Dr Pepper Kickoff Collection can be purchased in-shop, for pick-up at participating shops or via delivery through Krispy Kreme’s app and website. Customers can also get the doughnuts in a Krispy Kreme custom half-dozen box at select retailers.
Both Krispy Kreme and Dr Pepper have been making headlines in recent months. In March, Krispy Kreme announced it would be supplying fresh doughnuts daily at McDonald’s restaurants nationwide. Then, in June, Dr Pepper surpassed Pepsi as the second most popular soda behind Coca-Cola.
