VIJAYAWADA: Amaravati Drone Show made history by setting five Guinness world records during the National Drone Summit held near Punnami Ghat in Vijayawada.
The show earned accolades for the Largest Planet Formation, Largest Landmark Creation, Largest Plane Formation, Largest Flag Display, and Aerial Logo Display, marking a milestone for the state.
Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Union minister Rammohan Naidu inaugurated the event, which featured a breathtaking display of 5,500 drones—the largest ever in India.
Thousands of visitors thronged Krishna Beach to witness the spectacle, with five designated viewing areas set up across the city for residents.
In addition to the drone display, attendees were treated to a dazzling laser show and cultural performances, further enhancing the event’s appeal. Representatives from the Guinness Book of World Records were present to hand over certificates to chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, acknowledging the unprecedented achievements.
During the event, Naidu also awarded checks to the winners of the drone hackathon, showcasing the state’s support for technological innovation. State ministers and senior officials attended the program, underscoring its importance for the region.
