Partly sunny and seasonable first day of Fall!

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – Today is a seasonable start to meteorological Fall. We can expect a mostly cloudy morning, becoming partly sunny in the afternoon with a very light spot shower possible in Northern areas. High temperatures vary in the 60s. Dewpoints remain dry in the upper 40s and low 50s. Small craft advisories are expected through Sunday evening for many with gusty conditions on the coast.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with low temperatures throughout the 40s to low 50s. A couple isolated low temps in the upper 30s are likely.

Monday starts off mostly to partly sunny. Cloud cover increases significantly throughout the day. Downeast communities may hold on to more sunshine than others. High temperatures stay steady in the 60s. Dewpoints stay dry as well in the upper 40s and low 50s. Winds gusts on the coast reach 20 mph.

Tuesday looks to be partly cloudy. High temperatures will be consistent in the 60s. Dewpoints should stay dry in the upper 40s and low 50s. Winds gust up to 20 mph on the coast.

Wednesday looks to be mostly cloudy with shower chances returning to our forecast in Western Maine during the evening hours. High temperatures will decrease a little, topping off in the upper 50s to mid 60s. Dewpoints should be dry again in the low to mid 50s.

Cloudy skies with consistent showers are expected for Thursday. The greatest shower chance of the week will be Thursday afternoon, as the whole state should receive rainfall. High temperatures vary from the upper 50s to mid 60s. Dewpoints remain in the low to mid 50s.

Friday will be partly cloudy with showers possible throughout the day. High temperatures range from the low 60s to low 70s. Dewpoints remain dry in the low to mid 50s.

SUNDAY: First day of Fall! Mostly cloudy skies become partly sunny. High temperatures in the 60s. Very light spot showers possible up North in the afternoon. Small craft advisories for coastal areas today.

THURSDAY: Mostly if not completely cloudy. Steady shower chance for all communities throughout the day. High temperatures in the upper 50s to mid 60s.

FRIDAY: Partly cloudy. Showers possible throughout the day. High temps in the low 60s to low 70s.
