Ashley Biden, 43, is a social worker from Wilmington, Delaware, where she has worked in mental health and family services for most of her career.
She worked for the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families before stepping in to head the Delaware Center for Justice, a nonprofit which provides social services to Delaware residents impacted by the criminal justice system.
In 2019, she stepped down from the Delaware Center for Justice to work on her father’s campaign.
According to a 2023 profile in Elle, Ashley Biden is now pursuing a doctorate in clinical social work at the University of Pennsylvania. She hopes to open a wellness space for women experiencing trauma.
