Where’s Barron Trump?
In 2020, the first family — Melania Trump, Barron Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump and Tiffany Trump — attended the Republican National Convention in unity to support former President Donald Trump.
At the 2024 RNC, when Trump formally accepted the Republican nomination, most of the Trump family attended, except for one: Barron Trump, the only son of Donald and Melania Trump.
Since it started July 15, Donald Trump has made an appearance each night of the convention, seen with a bandage over his right ear where he was injured in an assassination attempt at his July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. And most of his family has had a speaking role (Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump, granddaughter Kai Trump) or were seated in the Trump family box (Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump) at the RNC in Milwaukee.
Barron Trump’s absence from the 2024 Republican National Convention was trending after his father, former president Donald Trump, formally accepted the Republican nomination. Though he was initially selected to serve as a Florida delegate at the RNC, his mother Melania Trump stated May 10 that Barron would not be able to attend due to “prior commitments.”
What event could make Barron Trump miss the 2024 Republican National Convention? Though highly unlikely, the universities that the 18-year-old has been linked to did host events on the same day of the RNC.
While it is not known what the immediate future holds for the sole child of Donald and Melania Trump and where he’ll attend classes in the fall, below are events that happened July 18, 2024, at the universities he’s been linked to.
