Amelia Dimoldenberg might have just scored herself a real date in her Chicken Shop Date interview with Andrew Garfield.
Garfield, who was the guest – and romantic interest – on Dimoldenberg’s YouTube channel Friday to promote his new film “We Live in Time,” had fans flocking to the comments to insist he and the 30-year-old go on a real date.
“I think that there’s something going on,” Dimoldenberg, known for her awkward style of flirtation and chemistry with her guests, said.
The 41-year-old “Amazing Spider-Man” actor, who is reportedly now single, replied, “Do you actually think that, or is this for the (video)?” He added, “If this wasn’t here, do you think we’d actually go on a date? … We could’ve actually gone on a date at some point, maybe.”
“I don’t know,” Dimoldenberg responded.

“Take out all the practicalities and the logic, I actually believe, maybe, we could’ve (gone on a date) without all of this,” Garfield insisted. He went on to ask, “Do you want to be married? Do you want to have children? What are your ultimate longings?”
When Dimoldenberg hesitated, Garfield urged her to be open about talking about herself: “Let this interview be what it is. This is, like, a different vibe.”
“Probably when you stop caring, that’s when it’ll happen,” Dimondenberg, who keeps her personal life private, said of love. She added, “Which is why I was very relaxed today, because I’ve given up. I actually have; I’ve actually given up.”
“I think we’d have a really nice time without the camera,” Garfield later said. “I think we’d just enjoy each other’s company.”
“I think we should be friends,” Dimoldenberg replied before walking back friend-zoning the actor. “I don’t know what I want.”
“I feel like this … should be a practice round,” Garfield concluded. “I think we should do it again, actually, and better.”

One of the top-liked comments reads, “So we definitely just watched them on a real date trying to act like it’s a fake date.” Meanwhile, the official YouTube account wrote: “now KISS.”
Dimoldenberg’s celebrity guests often roll with her teasing and flirty persona regardless of their marital or relationship status. Some, like The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, end up turning the tables on Dimoldenberg, who more often than not has the upper hand in the chicken shop conversations.
“This is the first chicken shop date I’ve seen where Amelia actually gives up on the character omg,” another commenter noted.
Dimoldenberg, who is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her YouTube channel, and Garfield have ramped up anticipation for their eventual interview with their run-ins at major events over the years.
Their flirty banter on the Golden Globes red carpet in 2023 went viral when Garfield said, “I only ever want to see you.”
At Dimoldenberg’s shock, Garfield insisted, “That’s not the end of the sentence! I only ever want to see you in these kinds of situations.”
“What about other situations?” she asked, to which he replied, “Not interested.”
