Eva Mendes suited up for her recent appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday. “The Place Beyond the Pines” star chatted with the eponymous talk show host about her new children’s book, “Desi, Mami and the Never-Ending Worries.”
For her late-night talk show appearance, Mendes opted for a suited look. The children’s book author wore a checkered suit with autumnal tones in shades of brown and taupe, among other hues. The look featured wide-leg, high-waisted trousers with a coordinated pattern to the blazer.
Mendes’ blazer featured cuffs rolled to her elbows. The single-breasted blazer also included pockets and sharp lapels. Beneath her blazer, Mendes opted for a simple white top with a scoop neckline. She completed the ensemble with pointed toe heels featuring a snakeskin print and translucent elements.
As for her accessories, Mendes continued to favor autumnal tones, pairing her look with gold jewelry pieces. The “Hitch” star wore two statement rings, bracelets and a pair of bold earrings to accentuate her sartorial statement. Mendes’ look was curated by stylist Cher Coulter, who’s also worked with “Downton Abbey” star Michelle Dockery, among others.
During her time on the talk show, Mendes spoke about her new children’s book, “Desi, Mami and the Never-Ending Worries,” revealing how she hopes the book will impact both children and parents. Mendes hopes the book is “inspiring, hopefully, parents to connect through reading because I love that connection,” she said.
“It’s about really not believing everything you think,” Mendes said of her debut children’s book. Along with writing “Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries,” Mendes has been busy with a new partnership with Stella McCartney.
