The grieving therapist is back.
Apple has renewed Shrinking, which stars Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, for a third season. It comes a day after the launch of season two.
The news comes as the creators and stars of the show are speaking at New York Comic Con.
Shrinking was co-created by Segel, Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein. It stars Segel as grieving widower Jimmy Laird, who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.
Harrison Ford stars as Jimmy’s boss and mentor Paul, Jessica Williams as their co-worker Gaby, Michael Urie as Jimmy’s best friend Brian, Luke Tennie as one of Jimmy’s clients Sean, Lukita Maxwell as Jimmy’s daughter Alice, Christa Miller as Jimmy and Alice’s neighbor and Ted McGinley as Liz’s husband Derek.
Season two also features a guest star appearance by Goldstein.
The series is produced for Apple TV+ by Warner Bros. Television, where Lawrence and Goldstein are under overall deals and Lawrence’s Doozer Productions. Lawrence, Segel, Goldstein, Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Randall Winston, Annie Mebane, Rachna Fruchbom and Brian Gallivan all serve as executive producers on season two. Ashley Nicole Black and Bill Posley will serve as executive producers on season three.
