Boss’s Day, also known as Bosses Day or National Boss Day, is observed on Oct. 16 each year.
According to Time and Date, the day is “dedicated to all employers and provides a prospect of improving the liaison between employers and their staff.” Employees on this day celebrate their bosses for various reasons, including supporting their staff.
Boss’s Day began in 1958 when a State Farm employee registered the holiday with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, according to Time and Date. She designated Oct. 16 because it was her father’s birthday.
