CUDDALORE: CUDDALORE: A 28-year-old doctor working in a private hospital in Madurai district was arrested on Friday on charges of morphing the photos and videos of his old woman classmate and uploading them on social media platforms.
The arrested doctor has been identified as R Satish Kumar of Kadaichenthal in Madurai district. He befriended a woman student when they were studying MBBS in a govt medical college hospital in Cuddalore district a few years ago.He lured her with the promise of marrying her. He used to make audio and video calls to her. He recorded the photos and videos of the phone calls.
Seven months ago, he morphed the photos and videos and posted them on social media platforms. The woman came to know about this. She requested Satish Kumar to delete them and refrain from posting her photos or videos online in the future.
However, he refused to heed to her request and threatened to murder her by pouring acid on her face. The woman lodged a complaint with Chidambaram all-women police against Satish Kumar.
Police booked him under Section 351 (3) of the BNS, and sections 66 ( E) and 67 (A) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and arrested him.
