The Republican National Convention in Milwaukee officially opens Monday and runs through Thursday. One of the expected events on day one of the RNC is former President Donald Trump’s announcement of the vice president nomination. The GOP Party Platform vote is also expected on Monday. Delegates will vote to approve the official party platform after the RNC Platform Committee passed it in Milwaukee last week. This will be the first new official platform since 2016.
