SPOILER ALERT! This story contains details from Sunday’s finale of Big Brother.
First, let’s get the most obvious detail out of the way because we can’t say it enough: How happy are we that Angela didn’t make the final three?
OK, back to business. With only three houseguests left — Chelsie Baham, Makensy Manbeck and Cam Sullivan-Brown — the time has to come to find out who deserves the $750,000. It’s Day 90. Who will become the final HOH of the season?
Part 1 was a strenuous test of the arm and shoulders, not to mention how long you can tolerate cold slime shooting on your neck and ass. After 26 minutes, Makensy was the first to call uncle. Cam was next at 37 minutes, which left Chelsie as the winner. She rejoiced in beating two D1 athletes. Facts.
But the best dawg hadn’t won yet: Now Makensy, who has won 9 competitions this season, will have to outplay Cam, who has only won one. They go mano-a-mano in a big puzzle that’s meant to wipe out Ainsley.
‘Natch, Makensy wins.
Before we get to part 3, let’s check in with the jury. But first, a moderator change! Will Kirby is out; the gorgeous Taylor Hale, winner of BB24, is now in. The jury kills time arguing the pros and cons of the remaining players. Angela doesn’t seem to like Chelsie. Rubina has her doubts about Cam. Can we get back to Chenbot’s bitchen jumpsuit now?
The final comp is dubbed Data Destruction, but it’s a familiar premise: Makensy and Chelsie must screen old AI videos of the houseguests, and figure out which one of their comments is false. Remarkably, the gals remained tied through round 5 before Chelsie was knocked out by round 6. Makensy wins!
She must now decide who should go home. Does she keep Chelsie, who’s been her beloved peer all summer? Or does she pick Cam, who really doesn’t deserve the cash?
Makensy does the nice thing and keeps Chelsie. She’s not afraid of some tough competition!
Now comes the grilling. Chelsie is asked about her lies. “I was wise when to share it and wise when to hold it,” she replied.
Makensy was asked about always doing Chelsie’s bidding. What did she do for herself this summer? Boot Leah, she said.
Chelsie was then queried about her best moves; Makensy was asked about her social game.
Chelsie is excellent at selling herself. Makensy, who’s no slouch either, seems to suggest that she would be fine with coming in second. They both deserved to be here, she admits, though Makensy showed a whole lot of humility about her good fortune.
The votes are in, time for some fun. After a brief check-in with the remaining ousted houseguests — Tucker and Rubina plan to continue their showmance and Angela can’t seem to forgive Matt — Chenbot has one more surprise twist to reveal to the house. Kamala Harris has replaced Joe Biden as the Democratic candidate for President. She reminds everyone to vote.
Time to declare the winner: Chelsie becomes the second Black woman to win a regular season of Big Brother.
Chelsie was the unanimous winner. For America’s favorite houseguest, the three finalists were Tucker, Quinn and … Angela!
Tucker won $50,000. Don’t feel sorry for Makensy: She won $75,000.
