The Arizona Cardinals suffered another setback with a 34-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Negative plays, turnovers, and penalties were all to blame.
Kyler Murray was 22-for-32 for 214 yards and a touchdown. The running game struggled with 89 total yards on 23 plays. Trey Benson led the group with five carries for 26 yards. However, a bad exchange between Benson and Murray resulted in a late fumble.
Trey McBride had 96 yards and caught all eight of his targets. Marvin Harrision Jr. was targeted twice, did not complete a catch, and left the game with a concussion.
Chad Ryland, playing for injured Matt Prater, made both his field goal attempts.
Arizona lost three possessions to fumbles. It was penalized 13 times for 100 yards. The Cardinals trailed the entire game.
Packers QB Jordan Love was 22-for-32 for 258 yards and four touchdowns with one interception. Josh Jacobs had 18 carries for 62 yards. Nine different players caught a pass from Love.
Arizona (2-4) next plays Oct. 21 against the Chargers.

The Cardinals were threatening at the Green Bay 13, but a fumbled exchange neutralized the drive.
Kyler Murray attempted a handoff Trey Benson, but the ball was dropped in transition.
Kenny Clark recovered the ball for Green Bay. Arizona has three fumbles, the others by James Conner and Gretch Dortch. Jaire Alexander and Karl Brooks had the other recoveries for Green Bay.

The Cardinals are running out of time to get a lot of work done.
A 41-yard field goal by Brayden Narveson gave the Packers a 21-point lead with 9:28 to play. Arizona is playing without Marvin Harrison Jr. (concussion) and a few key members on defense.
Penalties and poor play have plagued the Cardinals.
Kyler Murray is 19-for-28 for 186 yards. Trey Benson leads the team in rushing with five carries for 26 yards. Trey McBride has caught all seven targets for 87 yards.
The Cardinals have been penalized 12 times for 90 yards.

He joins several other starters on the sidelines.
LG Evan Brown is questionable to return. LB Kyzir White is out. Bilal Nichols is out with a stinger.
Starling Thomas briefly left the field but returned after a few plays. Marvin Harrison Jr. is out for the game with a concussion.
Kyler Murray completed a 16-yard pass to Greg Dortch to move the ball inside the Green Bay 40. However, before the play ended, Dortch fumbled the ball, which was recovered by Green Bay.
It’s the second straight possession for the Cardinals that ended with a fumble.

Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will not return after leaving the game in the first half.
Also ruled out was DL Bilal Nichols (stinger).
Just as the Cardinals thought they were getting back into the game, the Packers pulled away again.
Green Bay added a touchdown with a 20-yard pass from Jordan Love to Romeo Doubs to grow the lead to 31-13.
Minutes later, James Conner fumbled away the ball to give the Packers a short field. Nothing came of the possession for the Packers as kicker Brayden Narvenson missed a 44-yard field goal attempt.

Chad Ryland kicked a 40-yard field goal cut Green Bay’s lead to 24-13.
The Cardinals started the drive with a 29-yard kickoff return by Greg Dortch.
Trey McBride featured heavily on the series with receptions of 12 and 13 yards.

Quarterback Kyler Murray is just 9-for-17 for 103 yards and a touchdown through the first half. Murray has three carries for six yards. That is a far cry from his performance a week ago.
Murray isn’t the only player struggling in Green Bay.
James Conner is averaging just 3.4 yards per carry. That is a yard less than his career average. He has seven carries for 24 yards.
The Cardinals have just seven first downs — two via penalty. Meanwhile, Green Bay has 14. The Packers have out-gained the Cardinals 266 to 134.
Arizona isn’t doing itself any favors. The Cardinals have been flagged for seven penalties, resulting in 55 yards. Many of them have been dead-ball penalties.
Green Bay is dominating the time of possession 19:06 to 10:54.
Arizona will start the second half with the ball.
The Cardinals scored 10 points in the final 2 minutes of the first half.
A 38-yard field goal by Chad Ryland gave Arizona the final 3 points of the half.
The field goal was set up by an interception by Sean Murphy-Bunting. Arizona worked itself to the Green Bay 20 before stalling.

Arizona finally found the end zone.
Kyler Murray completed an 18-yard pass to Michael Wilson. The six-play, 70-yard drive started after a 29-yard kickoff return by DeeJay Dallas. James Conner had a pair of 8-yard runs for his most productive series of the game.
Conner has seven carries for 24 yards.
Murray is 5-for-10 for 70 yards and a touchdown.

Green Bay used two big plays to add its third touchdown of the game.
After a penalty forced the Cardinals to re-do a punt, Keisean Nixon returned the ball 39 yards to the Cardinals 44.
The penalty on the punt also negated a fumble to the Packers and subsequent recovery by the Cardinals.
From there, it was just one play — a 44-yard pass from Jordan Love to Christian Watson — for another touchdown.

Arizona linebacker Kyzir White left the game with a knee injury. He is questionable to return.
White had three tackles on Sunday. On the season, he has 31 tackles and one interception.
The Packers put together a 12-play, 72-yard, but in the end settled for a field goal.
Still, the home team’s lead grew to 17-0 with the 36-yard field goal from Brayden Narvenson.

On the five-play, 44-yard drive, the Packers benefitted from 20 penalty yards.
Love is just 2-for-5 for 9 yards in the game.

Through the first five weeks of the season, the Arizona Cardinals were the least-penalized team in the NFL.
That could change after Sunday.
Less than 5 minutes into the game, the Cardinals have been flagged for three penalties for a total of 25 yards. All of the penalties were against the defense.
Green Bay punted away its first possession but pinned the Cardinals inside their own 10.
Arizona lost a yard during its series and punted back to the Packers. A face-mask penalty against the Cardinals on the punt resulted in an extra 15 yards for the Packers, who begin the next series at the Arizona 44.
