The Village of Tilton will be hosting a Mexican Independence Day celebration; 4 to 9 PM Saturday, September 14th in Thomas Park, right across from Lupita’s Restaurant on 5th Street.
Major Bill Wear says attractions will include a mariachi band, a bounce house, a mechanical bull, pinatas for the kids with different age brackets, loteria (Mexican bingo) with prizes; and Mexican food trucks, including Mexican ice cream.
In addition, parties will be on hand to answer questions about work incentives and educational opportunities. Scheduled to attend are State Rep Brandun Schweizer; along with representatives from Vermilion Advantage and Danville Area Community College.
In the event of an overflow of parking, busing will be provided by CRIS Senior Services.
