The Spanish football club claimed its 15th UEFA Champions League title with a 2-0 victory against Borussia Dortmund in the final in June.

Ahead of the UEFA Super Cup 2024 final, Los Blancos played three friendly matches, losing twice and winning once.

On the other hand, Atalanta clinched the Europa League trophy for the first time in their history last season. In the UEFA Europa League final in May, the Italian football club defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3-0.

Atalanta, who play in the Serie A, arrive in the Super Cup after playing four friendlies, losing thrice and managing just a draw.

Real Madrid hold the edge in the head-to-head with a 2-0 record. The two teams met in the Champions League round of 16 stage in 2021. La Liga giants eked out a narrow 1-0 win in the away leg before a comprehensive 3-1 victory at home.

A win in Warsaw would make Real Madrid the only team to have won the UEFA Super Cup six times. They are currently tied with FC Barcelona and AC Milan with five trophies each. On the other hand, Atalanta will compete in their first-ever final.
