LOS ANGELES (Gray News) – Actor, producer and screenwriter Vince Vaughn was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday.
Vaughn received the star in the Motion Pictures category.
The actor’s star marks the 2,786th one added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame since its founding in 1958.
According to a release on the Hollywood Walk of Fame’s website, Vaughn has become one of Hollywood’s most acclaimed “triple threats” as an actor, producer and screenwriter.
Originally from Chicago, Vaughn’s career was kicked off by his performance in 1996’s “Swingers.”
Vaughn has most recently appeared in the guest-starring role of Freddy Funkhouser in the last three seasons of Larry David’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” on HBO.
The star’s upcoming projects include the Apple original comedy “Bad Monkey,” which premieres Wednesday of this week.
Other projects he’s involved with include an indie drama called “Easy’s Waltz” where he will star alongside Al Pacino, Kate Mara and Simon Rex, a film based on the true story of Brooklyn native Joe Scaravella called “Nonnas,” and a crime thriller called “The Bookie & The Bruiser.”
Vaughn was also the recipient of the third highest award bestowed by the United States Army to a civilian. The Meritorious Public Service Medal was given to Vaughn in 2019 to recognize his lasting contributions to service members’ morale.
