Barack Obama held a rally for Kamala Harris on Thursday in Pennsylvania, where he made the case for the VP and argued that his successor, Donald Trump, is a selfish billionaire who’s never done anything for anyone else, including changing his own children’s diapers. That naturally led to an audience joke about Trump wearing adult diapers, which turned out to be extremely apt, given that at his own rally in Michigan, the ex-president unwittingly proved he is, in fact, a very large baby.
In Pittsburgh, Obama told the crowd that while he understands that some people are unhappy with the economy and want a president who will “shake things up,” he can’t understand “why anybody would think that Donald Trump will shake things up in a way that is good for you…There is absolutely no evidence that this man thinks about anybody but himself. I’ve said it before: Donald Trump is a 78-year-old billionaire who has not stopped whining about his problems since he rode down his golden escalator nine years ago.” Praising Harris’s proposal to give a $6,000 tax credit to parents of newborns, the 44th president said: “Because I don’t have to tell a lot of you, raising kids is hard, and she wants to make it easier to afford stuff like a crib or a car seat or diapers. I remember buying diapers…. I remember changing diapers. Do you think Donald Trump ever changed a diaper?” In response, audience members shouted “no,” with one saying, “His own!”
“I almost said that,” Obama replied, laughing, “but I decided I shouldn’t say it.”

Meanwhile, on the same day in Detroit, Trump threw a tantrum about how unfair it is that he’s never won a Nobel Prize but Obama has. “If I were named Obama, I would have had the Nobel Prize given to me in 10 seconds,” he said. “He got the Nobel Prize. He didn’t even know what the hell he got it for. Remember, he got elected. Well, so did I. He got elected, and they announced he was getting the Nobel Prize…. He got the Nobel Prize for doing nothing, for getting elected, but I got elected too.” He added: “I’m not politicking for it. I’m just saying that there’s a lot of unfairness in this world.”

Trump, of course, has long been ridiculously bitter about not being awarded a Nobel. As he whined at a 2020 campaign event in Ohio: “I’m gonna tell you about the Nobel Peace Prize. I’ll tell you about that. I made a deal, I saved a country, and I just heard that the head of that country is now getting the Nobel Peace Prize for saving the country. I said, ‘What—did I have something to do with it?’ Yeah, but, you know, that‘s the way it is. As long as we know, that‘s all that matters, okay? I saved a big war, saved a couple of ’em.”
