NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Legendary rocker Jon Bon Jovi and his team were in the right place at the right time for one woman in Nashville on Tuesday evening.
According to reports, Jon Bon Jovi was on the Pedestrian Bridge around 6 p.m. with a small crew for a shoot when he and a woman approached someone who appeared to be getting ready to end her life by jumping off the bridge.
Video from the bridge shows a female crew member speaking to the woman on the ledge, and then Jon Bon Jovi approaches to continue the conversation. Both of them convinced her not to jump and helped her back over the railing.
Both the Nashville Fire Department and the Metro Nashville Police Department responded to the scene after a witness called in to dispatch to report what was happening.
No further details were provided by either agency.
Jon Bon Jovi is the frontman for the band, Bon Jovi, which has released 15 albums since 1984. Jon has also released two solo albums.
He is known for dozens of hit songs over the past several decades, including, “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Always,” “Wanted Dead or Alive,” “Blaze of Glory,” and “It’s My Life.”
Bon Jovi was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
