The Miami Dolphins announced they have signed offensive lineman Chasen Hines and placed tackle Kion Smith on the reserve/injured list.
Hines spent the 2023 season on the Dolphins’ practice squad after originally signing with the team on Aug. 31, 2023. He was elevated once but did not appear in a game. Hines was a sixth-round pick (210th overall) by New England in the 2022 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at LSU, where he appeared in 35 games with 17 starts. Hines was a member of LSU’s 2019 national championship team.
Smith has spent the past three years with Miami (2021-23). He appeared in nine games with Dolphins in 2023 and spent two seasons on the team’s practice squad (2021-22).
