A portion of southern Lancaster County, including south Lincoln, was placed under a severe thunderstorm warning until 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Just before 6 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located along a line extending from near Roca to 2 miles northeast of Dorchester, moving southeast at 15 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
Quarter-size hail and 60 mph wind gusts are possible with the storm, the Weather Service said.
A section of Southeast Nebraska, including Lancaster County, remains under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m.
