Samsung has expanded its portfolio across a range of categories including foldable phones, smartwatch and earbuds. At its second biggest event of the year — Galaxy Unpacked in Paris, France, Samsung launched Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Buds3 series. Other than these, it entered an entirely new category – smart rings – with the launch of Galaxy Ring.Here’s everything that Samsung announced at the event.
Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 foldable phones
Leading the announcements were Samsung’s latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6. The Galaxy Z Fold6, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, now features a slightly larger display with reduced bezels and a refined design.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 retains its design but now includes a 50MP dual camera setup and an upgraded Flex display.
Both the foldables also come equipped with Galaxy AI features, including Note Assist and Live Translate, Text suggestions, etc. Samsung has also updated the features to take advantage of the foldable form factor.
Galaxy Ring
Samsung has further expanded its wearable portfolio with its first smart ring, the Galaxy Ring. This wearable device focuses on comprehensive wellness tracking, offering features like 24/7 health monitoring, sleep analysis, heart rate alerts, and more. The Galaxy Ring is designed to be a compact yet powerful health companion, with a battery life of up to seven days and 10ATM water resistance. It comes in three colors and nine size options.
Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch7
Samsung introduced its most powerful smartwatch to date, the Galaxy Watch Ultra. This ‘robust’ wearable is built with a titanium grade 4 frame and boasts MIL-STD-810H for added durability. Key features include a Multi-sports tile for tracking triathlon workouts, Personalized HR Zone, and an impressive battery life of up to 100 hours in Power Saving mode. The watch runs on the new Exynos W1000 chipset, offering significant performance and power efficiency improvements.
The Galaxy Watch7, available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, features the same powerful Exynos W1000 chipset and includes FDA-approved Sleep Apnea monitoring and AGEs tracking for metabolic health.
It also comes with a host of health and fitness features.
Samsung has also added a pinch gesture to control the watch functions as well as connected Galaxy smartphones.
Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro
Samsung has also expanded its TWS earbuds lineup with the Galaxy Buds3 series. The lineup includes the Galaxy Buds3 and Buds 3 Pro.
The Buds3 earphones feature an open-ear design, while the Buds3 Pro offers a canal-type design for enhanced audio quality. Both models support Galaxy AI integration, real-time translation via Interpreter tool, and Adaptive EQ for improved sound. The Buds3 Pro also includes Active Noise Cancellation and a new siren mode for emergencies.
