The philanthropist, through her latest Instagram post, urged the fans to contribute in whatever way possible. She stepped up and promoted tourism. Ayesha requested that her followers include Jamaica as a destination in their travel plans.This is not the first time Ayesha has raised her voice publicly in support of the Island. She has previously appreciated the efforts of certain individuals who volunteered to provide aid in the region while the hurricane was still in progress. In the month of October Ayesha shared a post by Chef Jose Andres and World Kitchen Central. They took the initiative to make sure people were being fed in the affected regions. The NBA athlete’s wife is known for her charitable works. While posting the recent Instagram story, she was seen wearing a sweatshirt with the logo of Eat.Play.Learn, which is another charitable venture from the NBA power couple.

Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica on October 21, 2025, as it has been recorded and lasted till November 4, 2025. It affected not only the lives of the people there but also the economy of the region. Ayesha Curry kicked off the story appreciating the will of her followers in supporting Jamaica to recover from the disaster that lasted for a couple of weeks. In the story, the NBA legend’s wife stated, “I know a lot of you, like me, are wanting to support Jamaica, in the wake of Hurricane Melissa.” She went on to reveal the solution to the problem, “One of the best ways to get back is to come back. Your vacation is truly a donation. Tourism is a huge driver for the Jamaican economy.”

Ayesha stated facts. She revealed how almost 30% of the workforce depends on the tourism sector of the region. She even mentioned about the hotels, farmers, craftmakers and taxi drivers among others. Eat.Learn.Play is a charitable foundation launched by Ayesha Curry and her husband, Stephen Curry. The foundation was launched in 2019. This is specifically for the children and to provide them with nutritious meals and reading resources. They also promote sports within the foundation to maintain a healthy environment for the kids. The foundation adopts a whole child, whole school approach.
