Man chokes minor sister on busy road in Meerut, locals shoot videos until she dies | Meerut News

MEERUT: A 26-year-old man allegedly choked his 17-year-old sister to death in public view at a village in Meerut, as villagers, stopping to witness the crime, made videos of the incident until she was dead.
According to cops, the accused was allegedly infuriated by his sister’s stubborn behaviour to marry her paramour from another religion which led him to commit the crime.SP (Meerut rural) Kamlesh Bahadur said, “The incident took place in Nangla Shekhu village in Incholi area on Wednesday. We’ve arrested the accused, Mohd Haseen, who strangled his sister following a heated altercation at home. An FIR was registered under BNS section 103 (murder), among others, following a complaint by his mother.”
SHO (Incholi), Yogendra Singh, added, “The victim was in a relationship with a man from a different community, much to the unhappiness of her family. In March, she had eloped with him and her family filed a complaint, claiming that he had kidnapped the minor. Police later tracked them down, and ‘lover’ was sent to jail on abduction charges. A charge sheet was submitted to court.”
Yogendra Singh further said, “A few days ago, the lover secured bail and returned home. In the meantime, the girl started talking to him again, ignoring her family’s strong objection. On Wednesday, the siblings were engaged in a heated argument as the minor tried to go to her lover’s place.”
