The stars of Fly Me to the Moon are preparing for liftoff.
On Monday, July 8, Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum stepped out at the world premiere of the movie, which hits theaters on July 12, at AMC Lincoln Square in New York City. Johansson’s husband, Colin Jost, joined her to celebrate the romantic comedy.
In the film, Tatum, 44, plays Cole Davis, who is entrusted with staging a fake moon landing after the White House deems NASA’s historic 1969 moon landing mission too crucial to fail. Johansson, 39, stars as Kelly Jones, who is part of the marketing team helping rehab NASA’s public image.
To celebrate the film’s release, Tatum wore a dashing, two-piece navy blue pinstripe suit with black dress shoes.
Johansson wore a custom Prada top and skirt in faille vichy, with crystal embroidery trim and silver leather sandals.
The summer-inspired look was paired with sparkling, round dangle drop earrings. To complete the outfit, the actress wore a loose ponytail, soft pink blush, and rose lip.
Johansson’s husband, 42, opted for a more casual ensemble that consisted of a light blue button-up tee worn underneath a navy Prada mohair suit and white sneakers.

In April, Johansson told PEOPLE more about starring in Fly Me to the Moon and filming with Tatum, whom she didn’t know prior.
“Channing is such an easy-going actor, good-spirited and professional. Falling in love with him onscreen was pretty easy. He’s such a likable person,” she said. “Kelly and Cole are such opposites. It was fun to play that dynamic with Channing.”
Aside from staring in the film, Johansson is also a producer. She described her character, Kelly, as a “very modern woman living in a time where women were often underestimated.”
“She uses that to her advantage and is always a few steps ahead,” Johansson added.

Director Greg Berlanti, who also directed Love, Simon, spoke to PEOPLE about the dynamic amongst the cast.
“Scarlett and Channing had never done a film together, and I’m sure audiences will want them to do many more after this one,” he said. “They’re each individually a dream, both personally and professionally. They have the rarest of gifts with comedy and drama.”
“Watching them act together was like watching two great rockstars do a duet for the first time,” Berlanti added. “From rehearsal through the end of shooting, working with the two of them was one of the great pinch-me moments of my life.”
