NEW DELHI: India’s Navdeep Singh secured the country’s first-ever gold medal in the men’s javelin throw F41 category at the Paris Paralympics on Saturday. His silver medal was upgraded to gold after Iran’s Beit Sayah Sadegh was disqualified in a dramatic turn of events during the final.
Reigning world champion Simran won the bronze medal in the women’s 200m T12 final with a personal best time of 24.75 seconds.
