Today is the final day of the Paris 2024 Paralympics! The final medals will be awarded in four sports – Para athletics, Para powerlifting, Para canoe and wheelchair basketball – before a fabulous Closing Ceremony brings the curtain down on the Games.

While it’s the last day, it’s not over yet. Here is everything you need to know about Day 11.

Marathon concludes Para athletics

Para athletics, the biggest sport on the Paris 2024 programme in terms of athlete numbers and events, will come to a close on day 11 with four marathons.

Swiss wheelchair racing stars Catherine Debrunner and Marcel Hug are looking to dominate in the women’s and men’s marathon T54, respectively, while Japan’s Misato Michishita is aiming to defend her gold medal from Tokyo 2020 in the women’s marathon T12.

After starting in Seine-Saint-Denis, the athletes will pass through the Place de la Concorde, which staged the Opening Ceremony, before competing in the Champs-Elysees and going around the Arc de Triomphe. The finish line is located in front of the Esplanades de Invalides.
