The N.C. State Wolfpack football was overmatched in a 51-10 loss against the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday (7:30 at the Duke’s Mayo Classic in Charlotte.

Tennessee led 20-3 at halftime, keyed by a Will Brooks pick-six in the second quarter. Trailing 10-3, NC State’s Grayson McCall threw an interception that ignited a 10-0 close to the first half for the Volunteers.
N.C. State is coming off a 38-21 win, powered by wide receiver KC Concepcion, against Western Carolina in Week 1. Led by quarterback Nico Iamaleava, Tennessee made quick work of Chattanooga in a 69-3 victory last week.
