The UNC football program has dealt with various injuries on Saturday afternoon with multiple starters being removed from the game.
While some returned to action, some aren’t healthy enough to return. Bryson Nesbit suffered an upper-body injury that will force him to miss the second half of play.
The UNC football program provided the update, noting that Omarion Hampton, who was also injured in the first half, was available to return. In Hampton’s case, it’s likely that the Tar Heels will see how the second half goes before inserting their star running back into the game.
Before leaving the game, Nesbit was the UNC football program’s leading receiver, recording three catches for 47 yards. Most of his yardage came on his 30-yard touchdown reception early in the first quarter.
While holding Nesbit out could be a sign of precaution, it is concerning to see him not be able to return to the game. We’ll have to wait and see if the UNC football program provides an update later on, but for now, we’ll hold our breath that it isn’t serious.
