Pakistani singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan‘s viral song “Bado Badi” has been removed from YouTube. The song, which garnered 25 million-plus views in a month, has reportedly been taken down due to copyright infringement.
According to reports, the melody and composition of “Bado Badi” resembled the classic song “Akh Lari Bado Badi” by legendary singer Noor Jehan from the 1973 film “Banarsi Thug.” This similarity is said to have triggered a copyright claim, leading to the removal of Khan’s version.
While initially mocked for its unconventional style, “Bado Badi” featuring model Wajdhan Rao Ranghar, became a social media sensation inspiring memes and content creation on Instagram Reels. The song released on Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s official channel last month, is also said to have gained massive popularity in India, and caused a frenzy online.

Reports suggest that the claim might have originated from Noor Jehan’s team, protecting the rights to the original composition. Khan’s channel currently no longer features the video.
