November 6 – With the election in the books, stories that came out from polling places in Pennsylvania showed a lot of last-minute scrambling.
Courthouses tried to close before everyone could vote. Some voter registrations appeared fraudulent. There were long lines to wait to cast a vote.
Pat Ryan of NewsTalk 103.7FM said, “There’s some real terrible incompetencies at the top of Josh Shapiro’s administration. I hope, and I doubt, that they’ll take a good, hard look at, wow, if you win Pennsylvania, you’re going to win it all and yet, the incompetence of Josh Shapiro is on full display for the country to see.”
Attorney Clint Barkdoll said, “I’m curious what kind of post election analysis or reforms may be implemented in Pennsylvania. Yes, Shapiro appoints the Secretary of State who oversees elections at the state level. There were a number of issues yesterday with bomb threats all over the state, that some polling places had to stay open late. Trump yesterday afternoon, he posted on Truth Social that there was mass cheating going on in Philadelphia. Now, there was no evidence of that, by the way and I hope when Harris comes out today, she doesn’t pull some kind of a trick to say, oh, this isn’t legitimate, there was cheating going on. I don’t think there’s any evidence of that whatsoever, but there were what I would call logistical problems leading up to yesterday. We know with the early voting in places like Bucks County that they had to cut those lines off early, and then a judge had to allow people to come in a few extra days. We had several counties last night that had to stay open past eight due to different things, and that is a problem because it delays getting the counts in. But so far, I will say, by and large in Pennsylvania, I’m not hearing any kind of legitimate reports of fraud, or some of the things that you heard about it with prior elections, and I hope that continues throughout today that we don’t hear any of that.”
Ryan insisted, “We got better at it. We lawyered up. We had people watching like crazy. There wasn’t going to be steal, if you will, some would say.”
Michele Jansen of NewsTalk 103.7FM added, “To me, it’s more on the other end of the propaganda that the media gave us for all these weeks and months, it’s actually quite amazing he was able to pull out a win despite all of that and all the money that was spent on the Harris ticket compared to him. I’m worried though about those House seats, I think that’s where the legalese is going to come in. We are in Pennsylvania, what? There’s three very close Congressional House seats, federal and I think that’s where you’re going to see some of the wrangling and legal issues coming up.”
Barkdoll agreed, “That and this US Senate seat in Pennsylvania. If tomorrow morning, McCormick or Casey, they’re ahead by, say, 5,000 votes, you’re going to see all kinds of court challenges with provisional ballots. There were already challenges to some of the overseas mail-in votes, if it’s a 5,000, 10,000 margin, those are the kind of things on the periphery that could have made the difference.”
