Accident: Speeding SUV jumps signal, hits another vehicle, flips many times | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: A businessman suffered injuries after an SUV he was driving jumped the signal, hit another car and flipped several times before coming to a halt near Secunderabad Club Junction on Wednesday.
The video of the accident went viral. Marredpally police said the driver, Naresh, who was alone in the SUV, suffered a minor injury.

Around 1.30 pm on Wednesday, he was travelling from Kharkhana and heading towards JBS via Secunderabad Club Junction.As he was reaching junction, the signal mast, which was green turned red. Despite that, the driver jumped the signal.
On noticing a car exiting Secunderabad Club, Naresh attempted to avoid hitting another car, by attempting to turn the steering to the right. But the other vehicle just brushed the speeding SUV. Due to the high-speed collision, the SUV flipped thrice and landed upside down.
“Naresh jumped the signal at high speed. At the same time, another car, which was exiting the club, was on the move since it had green signal. The SUV hit the car and flipped multiple times before it came to a halt,” Marredpally inspector N Venkatesh told TOI.
Immediately, after the accident, passersby rushed to the SUV, whose windows and windshield broke. The driver was brought out of the car by the passersby and a traffic constable, who was at the spot.
Later, local police reached the spot. The car was removed with the help of a crane. Police received a complaint against Naresh and a FIR was registered under Section 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way) of the IPC.
For some time, traffic movement on the stretch was hit until the SUV was removed. The accident was captured in a CCTV at the junction and its footage went viral on Thursday.
