LEWISTON, IDAHO (KLEW) — The Nez Perce County Elections Office has released the unofficial results of the 2024 general election.
Russ Fulcher will win the U.S. Representative District 1 seat with 66.51% of the vote.
Dan Forman is projected to win the Idaho State Senate seat in District 6 with 68.15% of the vote.
Lori McCann will remain District 6 seat A representative with 80.26% of the vote. Brandon Mitchell has won seat B with 73.3% of the vote.
Nez Perce County voters saying no to Proposition 1 the ballot initiative that would establish a primary where all candidates are listed on a ballot regardless of party affiliation. The proposition would also create a ranked-choice voting system in the general election. Currently, it looks to be rejected by voters at last count with 68% of voters voting aganist it.
Voters also deciding on HJR 5, if approved the measure would amend the Idaho constitution requiring a person to be a U.S. Citizen in order to vote in Idaho Elections. Idaho law already prohbits non-citizens from voting or registering to vote in the state for any state or local elections. In Nez Perce County voters approving that with 65.29% of the vote.
The Kendrick Joint School District levy voted in favor of with 56.14% of voters favoring it.
Republican Joe Gish taking County Commissoner in District 3 with 67.9% aganist Democrat Pete Gertonson.
