Tigers fall to 4-1 with 41-10 loss at Kyle Field.

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas — No. 25 Texas A&M utilized a balanced offensive attack and a shutdown defensive effort to stop No. 9 Missouri’s eight-game winning streak with a 41-10 victory over the Tigers at Kyle Field.

The Aggies (5-1, 3-0 SEC) racked up 512 yards of offense, thanks in large part to the performance of quarterback Conner Weigman and a rushing attack powered by Le’Veon Moss, to hand the Tigers (4-1, 1-1 SEC) their first setback since Nov. 4, 2023.

Moss rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns, including a 75-yarder on the first play of the second half, and Weigman back in the lineup after missing three games with injury passed for 276 yards to lead the A&M offense. Weigman completed 15-of-19 passes for 193 yards in the first half and directed scoring drives of 60, 46, 65 and 88 yards as Texas A&M built a 24-0 halftime lead. He finished the game 18-for-22 and also ran five times for 33 yards.

Moss became the first back in 11 games to rush for more than 100 yards against the Tigers. Amari Daniels rushed for a pair of one-yard touchdowns in the first half to help stake the home club to a big lead.

Mizzou’s biggest threat in the opening stanza was derailed due to a Tiger penalty. Late in the first quarter with A&M on top, 10-0, Brady Cook connected with Luther Burden III on an apparent 75-yard touchdown pass. But the play was called back due to an ineligible receiver downfield.

The Tigers would not put their first points on the board until the 5:06 mark of the third quarter, when Cook threw a 59-yard TD pass – MU’s longest completion of the season – to Theo Wease Jr. to close the gap to 34-7.

Missouri’s final points came on a late 23-yard Blake Craig field goal, the redshirt freshman’s 12th successful field goal of the season.

Cook completed 13-of-31 passes for 186 yards but was sacked six times. Burden caught seven passes for 82 yards.

A&M’s defense limited the Tigers to a season-low 68 rushing yards on 30 attempts and held MU to just 5-of-15 on third downs.

UP NEXT

The Tigers conclude their two-game road swing next weekend with a trip to Amherst, Mass., for a non-conference contest against UMass. The game will be televised live on ESPN2, with kickoff from McGuirk Alumni Stadium set for 11 a.m. (CT).
