FORT WORTH – TCU beach volleyball hosted the annual TCU Fall Challenge on Thursday and Friday. The Horned Frogs met familiar foes from the Lone Star State, HCU, TAMU-CC and Texas on the sand courts in a modified pool play format. Each day consisted of eight pools with four different pairings. Every pair from the Horned Frogs and three visiting teams played two matches per day.
Three TCU pairings went 4-0 in the challenge: Deniela Konstantinova/Anete Namike, Hallie Corrine Frist/Jordyn MacTavish and Anhelina Khmil/Kaitlyn Bradley.
DAY ONE
Five Frog pairings placed first in each of their pools on Thursday.
Tania Moreno and Sofia Izuzquiza – Pool A (2-0)
Kaitlyn Bradley and Anhelina Khmil – Pool D (4-0)
Deniela Konstantinova and Anete Namike – Pool E (4-0)
Maria Gonzalez and Stacy Reeves – Pool G (3-1)
Hallie Corinne Frist and Jordyn MacTavish – Pool H (4-0)
DAY TWO
Based on the results of Thursday, Friday’s pools were made. Seven Frogs placed first in their pool, highlighted by Khmil/Bradley, Konstantinova/Namike and Corinne Frist/MacTavish’s undefeated record.
