Halle Bailey & DDG Have Broken Up: ‘We Cherish the Bond We’ve Built’

Halle Bailey and DDG have broken up. The budding rapper himself announced the news on October 3, 2024, posting a lengthy statement posted to his Instagram Stories.

DDG began his statement by addressing his “friends and supporters.” He stated that he and Bailey had decided to end their relationship “after much reflection and heartfelt conversations.”

“This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared,” DDG continued. “Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other.”

DDG ended his statement saying the duo were planning to “focus on [their] individual journeys” while actively working together as co-parents. “We cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared. As we navigate this transition, we ask for your understanding and support,” he added. At the time of writing, Bailey has yet to address the split publicly.

Halle Bailey and DDG were first romantically linked in January of 2022 after being posted attending a concert together. It wasn’t until March 2022 that DDG confirmed their relationship on Instagram with a birthday tribute to Hailey, in which he called her “the beautifulest, the flyest, the sweetest.” A few months later, in June, the duo made their red carpet debut at the BET Awards.
