Anthony Iacullo, a seasoned litigator who handled high-profile matters such as representing former Gov. Chris Christie’s press secretary in hearings before the House and Senate committee regarding the lane closures of the George Washington Bridge, has joined Mandelbaum Barrett P.C.’s Roseland office as a partner in the firm’s Litigation and White Collar & Criminal Defense practice groups. Iacullo joins Mandelbaum Barrett from Iacullo, Martino & Reintz in Nutley.

Iacullo brings nearly three decades of criminal defense experience to the firm. He has represented thousands of clients, including high-profile individuals, in numerous jurisdictions. Other high-profile cases include representing the Asbury Park mayor in a federal bribery trial concerning the redevelopment of Asbury Park waterfront, and his representation of one of 24 West New York police officers in the largest police corruption case in New Jersey’s history.

“Tony and I met and became friends 30 years ago as young assistant prosecutors in Bergen County.  Tony’s skill in the courtroom has only flourished since then, and that is why, today, he is regarded as one of the state’s best trial attorneys. Partnering with Tony, and the experience he brings to the firm, will provide meaningful value to our White Collar & Criminal Defense Practice and all of our clients. We welcome Tony with open arms,“ Robert Scrivo, co-chair of the White Collar & Criminal Defense practice at Mandelbaum Barrett, said.

A former assistant prosecutor at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Hackensack, Iacullo has prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases, including matters involving drug offenses and homicides.

“Robert and I are incredibly fortunate for the opportunity to partner with Tony. His track record as a trial attorney is second to none, and his eagerness to meet the next courtroom challenge unparalleled. We jumped at the chance to have Tony join our team,” Damian Conforti, co-chair of the White Collar & Criminal Defense practice, said.

Iacullo also has extensive appellate experience, having appeared before the New Jersey Appellate Division, the Supreme Court of New Jersey, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Criminal Trial Attorney, he is admitted to practice in New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
