Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma led the celebration inside the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai as India danced to the tunes of Chak de India on Thursday, 4 July. The Indian team reached the Wankhede Stadium around 9 PM after their open-top bus victory parade in the Marine Drive. After reaching the Wankhede Stadium, Sharma dragged Virat Kohli with him towards the stands as the duo pulled off some bhangra steps.
India reached the Wankhede Stadium late on Thursday evening after a long day. India had landed in New Delhi early in the morning and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After the formalities, the Indian team flew out to Mumbai on a Vistara flight and were welcomed with a water salute at the airport.

The Indian team let it loose in the celebrations which was delayed due to immense traffic in Mumbai. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid and Suryakumar Yadav let loose as India celebrated in style on the bus.
Dravid and Kohli were celebrating at the top of their voice as the fans gathered around India’s team bus. India had flown back home on Thursday itself, landing in New Delhi and then flying out to Mumbai later on. India met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and then flew out to Mumbai for their celebrations.
India were expected to start their facilitation ceremony at around 7 PM, but it took a long time for the team to cross Marine Drive due to the sheer number of fans who came to greet the side.
