CHENNAI: “I know my height.” Tamil Nadu CM M K Stalin repeated this famous statement of his father M Karunanidhi, when asked if INDIA bloc would project him as its PM candidate. “I have said this several times,” he told reporters on Tuesday.
Stalin said he would leave for New Delhi on Wednesday to take part in INDIA alliance meeting, and thanked the efforts made by INDIA bloc leaders and cadres to defeat fascism and to safeguard democracy and the Constitution.
“In the last elections our alliance won 39 seats out of 40 in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Now people have rewarded us with 40 out of 40,” said Stalin, dedicating the victory to his father Karunanidhi. “There has been an anti-Modi wave in many states. This result is evidence that the wave is more pronounced in Tamil Nadu,” he said.
