Krispy Kreme releases new Barbie doughnuts for doll’s 65th anniversary

Hi, Barbie! Hi, Barbie! Hi, Krispy Kreme!

Last summer, the iconic doll got a live-action movie that dominated the box office and pop culture. Now, she’s getting doughnuts honoring a special milestone: 65 years of the Barbie brand.

Krispy Kreme announced Tuesday that four new doughnuts, all themed around Barbie, will be available for a limited time.

The doughnuts are:

• Barbie Pink Doughnut: An original glazed doughnut with pink buttercream, sprinkled with sparkly pink sugar and topped with Barbie sunglasses.
• Malibu Dream Party Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with Cake Batter Kreme, dipped in Malibu blue icing and graham sand and topped with a Barbie DreamHouse piece.
• Barbie Berries ‘n Kreme Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with Strawberry Kreme, dipped in white icing, drizzled with pink and purple buttercream and topped with a Barbie heart.
• Barbie Sweet 65^th Doughnut: An original glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing and topped with Barbie Sweet 65^th sprinkles.

“We’re excited to celebrate the Barbie brand’s 65th birthday with a collaboration that’s full of fun and flavor,” said Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, in Tuesday’s news release. “We’re bringing Barbie’s iconic fashions to life through delicious doughnuts that are sure to thrill Barbie and Krispy Kreme fans alike.”

Where can I get the Krispy Kreme Barbie doughnuts?

Barbie fans, or fans of all things pink, can find the doughnuts at participating Krispy Kreme locations. Select grocery stores will also carry a Krispy Kreme 6-pack featuring the Barbie-themed doughnuts. California has 40 Krispy Kreme locations across the state, according to the company’s store directory.
