The first look of India’s open bus is out that will take the Indian team for a ride during the victory parade near the Marine Drive and the iconic Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai is gearing up for the mega event as the history books will remember July 4th when the whole nation united to celebrate India’s triumph. The open bus is covered in the hues of blue and a big poster of India lifting the T20 World Cup trophy has been put on the bus. The front of the special bus has ‘Champions 2024’ written on it.
The Maharashtra Cricket Association also announced free entry for the fans at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Gates no. 2, 3 and 4 of the iconic Wankhede will open at 4:00 PM sharp from where the fans can enter to celebrate India’s World Cup triumph. Team India is set for a victory lap in Mumbai as they will leave from Delhi. The fans are expected to turn out in huge numbers in Mumbai and will look to recreate the scenes from India’s 2007 victory parade. Rohit Sharma and BCCI secretary Jay Shah had also urged the fans to take part in the celebrations of India’s T20 World Cup triumph after 17 years.

The Indian team arrived in India in the early morning on July 4th, Thursday, as their Air India chartered plane landed in Delhi from Barbados. India’s heroes received a rousing welcome as fans had turned out in huge numbers at the Delhi airport during the wee hours. Rohit Sharma raised the coveted trophy as he made his first appearance as India’s World Cup winning captain. The airport was buzzing with the chants of team India as the World Champions arrived with the Gold medal wrapped around their neck. The team headed to ITC Maurya in Delhi and had a grand cake-cutting ceremony.
